basics of paddling and receive your Australian Canoeing Basic Skills
Certificate, or get involved with learning the art of Sea Kayaking.
BASIC SKILLS. 'Kayak
School'
is a day of instruction by qualified Australian
Canoeing Inc. Instructors from Adelaide Canoe Works. Learn a wide range of
skills to increase your paddling enjoyment as well as keeping you safe on the
water. You will learn how to control your craft using the various
strokes, including,

Forward paddling

Draw strokes

Kayak School is run
monthly and bookings are essential. The cost is $120 including all equipment

INTRODUCTION TO SEA
KAYAKING
If sea kayaking is really your
passion, check out our “Intro to Sea Skills” Program that can
give you a taste of sea kayaking. It allows you to learn the skills needed to
handle a sea kayak in a variety of conditions. If you don’t have your
own sea kayak we can supply a suitable craft for the course. The course
covers the areas of;

RESCUES AND TOWING
COURSE
When
you need to know how to rescue yourself or others, this is the course for
you.
One of the most important skills in kayaking is to be able to get yourself and
others out of trouble. This course gives you the answers on how to rescue
another craft and you will benefit from years of experience accumulated by
our instructors.
We will cover the areas of self rescue, X rescue, wedge rescue, towing
systems and their use. A great course for any paddler paddling with others on
day or multi-day trips
