Paddles come in range of shapes, sizes and  budgets that sometimes make it difficult for the novice to work out which is the best for them. There a two simple rules to follow when buying a kayak paddle:
Buy the best paddle within your budget
The paddle is your method of propulsion and it will be the most important part of your paddling, so buy the best within your budget.

Buy the paddle that suits your craft style 
A short surf kayak paddle will not be suited to paddling a long distance by sea kayak or racing a marathon, so buy the type that suits your needs.

Feather paddle are hand crafted using high performance pre impregnated composite materials similar to those used in the aerospace industry. These include both carbon and glass composites and other hybrid woven materials. We’ve also included a double layer tip and a reinforced unidirectional spine.

Each layer of material is pre-cut and then carefully hand laid into the mould. Our layup and layering combination give you optimum strength, stiffness & lightness resulting in your own hand crafted feather paddle. We have been building lightweight paddles for over 3 decades.

These paddle joiners can be easily fitted to 29mm outside diameter paddle shafts. Simply cut the shaft and glue in place.

USAGE
Many paddlers find there are many advantages of having a split paddle. You can adjust the angle of the paddle blades as well as adjust the overall length of the paddle by up to 10cm. Of course it also makes it easy to fit in the car.
